One licence covers everything MakeAFont makes, whether you generate a font here on the web or from the editor plugins. It is the same text that ships inside those plugins.
The short version: everything you make with MakeAFont is yours, to use and to sell. If you only read one section, read the first.
The sections headed What you may do with this plugin, What you may not do and Storefront terms are about the editor plugins for Godot, Unity and Unreal. They do not apply if you only use the web tool. Everything else does, and where the text says the price is shown in the plugin, the web tool shows it the same way before you confirm.

Your art stays yours
The art you upload remains yours. The fonts generated from it are yours, and you may use, modify and ship them in any project, commercial or otherwise, with no further payment and no attribution required.
We do not train models on your images.
We process your art only to produce the font you asked for. Nothing about your uploads is sold or shared with anyone else.
What you may sell
Everything a generation produces is covered by this: the font file, the vector files, and the image files.
You may sell what you make with them, in any quantity, with no further payment and no attribution. That includes games and applications, printed and physical merchandise, apparel, packaging and signage, video, thumbnails and streams, and digital products such as templates, mockups, design files and asset packs for other people to use.
Selling the font files themselves
Selling or giving away the generated files on their own — as a typeface, a clipart pack or a font pack — is a separate right from everything above. The test is whether the file itself is the product: putting a letter on a shirt is selling a shirt, and putting the same letter in a zip is selling our output.
That right comes with the Seller plan. On Mini, Starter and Pro the fonts are yours to use, including on everything you sell, and are not yours to redistribute as files.
Three things about it, because this is the clause people most need to be sure of before they list anything:
- It applies while the plan is active. It covers files you generated, and you may keep listing them for as long as you are on a plan that carries the right.
- Cancelling does not reach backwards. It stops you listing new font files. It does not undo a sale you already made, and it never affects your own right to keep using every font you generated, which is permanent under this licence regardless of plan.
- The right is yours, not your buyer's. Someone who buys a font file from you may use it; it does not pass them the right to resell the file on again.
If you are unsure which side of that line you are on, ask us before you publish. We would rather answer than argue afterwards.
What you may do with this plugin
This plugin is licensed to you, not sold.
You may install it in any number of projects belonging to you or your studio, use it to build and ship those projects, and modify it for your own internal use.
What you may not do
You may not redistribute this plugin, in whole or in part, as a standalone asset, package, plugin or template, whether free or paid. Shipping a game or application that was built with it is not redistribution and is expressly allowed.
You may not remove or obscure this licence from copies you retain.
Paid features
Generating a font spends credits from your account. The cost of each paid action is stated in the plugin before you confirm it, and in the store listing. Nothing in this plugin charges you without showing you the cost first.
A failed generation costs nothing. Credits are taken on success only.
Warranty and liability
Provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the plugin or its use.
Storefront terms
Where you obtained this plugin through a storefront whose own EULA applies to it, that EULA prevails over this licence to the extent the two conflict.
