Connect your AI tools and manage your tokens
- Connect compatible AI tools through MCP to create, edit and download fonts using your MakeAFont account and tokens, with browser sign-in and setup guidance.
- Choose your app for copyable setup commands and a free connection check. REST API setup has its own quickstart. Manage and revoke connected tools beside your API keys.
- Enable optional automatic refills with Mini, Starter or Pro. Choose a balance threshold and monthly spending limit, authorize your card through Stripe, and turn refills off anytime. Failed payments pause refills.
- Updated token packs: Mini €2.99 for 1,200 tokens, Starter €9.99 for 4,500, Pro €19.99 for 9,500, and Seller €24.99/month for 12,600 with resale rights. Existing tokens and purchases keep their allowance.
- Tell us what you are making and whether your font met your expectations through quick, optional questions. You can dismiss them, and dismissed questions stay dismissed.
- Fonts generated on the home page stay there, with an Open workshop action for editing.
More reliable font editing and refunds
- Redraw a single character using your saved font as the style reference, with more reliable results.
- Completing a font matches new characters to the existing size and keeps your saved resolution.
- Custom AI edit requests are checked before credits or included tries are used. AI edits pause until the next UTC day after five rejected prompts or three failed edits across your account. Manual edits and downloads remain available.
- Refunds use your original payment amount and count only tokens actually used. Failed edits no longer reduce your refund, and pending refunds are handled safely.
- API access requires a completed token-pack purchase, starting with Mini for €1.99.
- Share feedback from its own button beside Download font in the editor.
- New one-time card purchases include MAKEAFONT in the statement label alongside the shared business prefix.

More reliable editor sign-in
- Fixed the font editor's sign-in button failing silently when the browser blocks the Google popup. It now prepares sign-in sooner and shows guidance with a retry button.
Smoother creation, clearer token packs
- Fixed a homepage crash when browser translation was active and the token balance or sign-in state changed.
- After downloading a font, an optional next step helps you create another and shows how many Good fonts your balance covers.
- Token packs now clearly state their Good-font allowance and the token cost of each quality option.
More reliable imports, cleaner font downloads
- Fixed valid handwriting and character-grid imports rejecting letters or punctuation placed away from the centre of a cell.
- Custom character imports now keep the chosen column layout even when the first row is only partly filled.
- Imports now flag characters cut off at cell boundaries instead of accepting a damaged font.
- TTF and WOFF2 downloads use the original bitmap artwork by default, preserving fine strokes and shading in Chrome.
- Downloads include optional vector-enabled font files in a separate folder, with distinct names so both versions can be installed together.
Sharper fonts, cleaner character separation
- Good now generates 4K character sheets for sharper textures, shading and fine details at the same 400-token price.
- High detail uses higher rendering quality at the same 1,200-token price.
- Improved separation of decorative letters, with cleaner outlines and better preservation of soft shadows and glows.
- Added targeted repairs for touching letters, matching replacement characters to the size and edge softness of the rest of the font.
- Fixed missing punctuation dots, letters grouped into the wrong row and shifted character assignments.
- Prevented faint stray pixels and oversized letter regions from shrinking an entire font.
- Fixed TTF and WOFF2 compatibility issues that could prevent downloaded fonts from loading in browsers.
- Good-quality generation now uses up to four attempts, avoiding long chains of unsuccessful retries.
Fewer retries, cleaner letters
- Fixed unnecessary retries when uploaded artwork has an opaque background.
- Fixed letter clipping on sheets with shorter final rows, preserving soft glows and avoiding further retries when all letters can be recovered cleanly.
- Updated the privacy notice to explain the private generation history used to troubleshoot font issues.
Bug fixes and reliability
- Fixed a crash that could interrupt generation progress when your browser translated the page.
- Image uploads now explain unsupported file types, unreadable images and size limits before generation starts. Checks also cover image uploads in the Font Workshop.
- Failed image generation now gives a clearer reason and releases reserved tokens.
- Fixed a sign-in problem that could leave your account loading after switching tabs or apps.
- Plugin settings stay available during a temporary font-count outage, and the website keeps showing its last known count.

- Pages now share the home page's content width and spacing.
